**Job Description: Surgical Pediatric Nurse Traveler** **Position Type:** Travel Nursing **Shift:** 12-Hour Shifts **Schedule:** 36 Hours Per Week Following Orientation **Overview:** We are seeking experienced Surgical Pediatric Nurses for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare facility. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in Epic EMR and a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of units including Surgical Pediatrics, Medical, Surgical, and Transitional Care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality patient care in the Surgical Pediatric unit while being adaptable to float to Med/Surg units as needed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery. - Maintain familiarity with medical equipment including Epic EMR, pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes. - Adhere to licensing and certification regulations, maintaining current BLS and ACLS certifications. - Document and communicate patient progress and care plans effectively. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 10 years preferred. - Proficiency in Epic EMR required; recent experience in a facility using Epic (within the last 12 months). - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS. Additional certifications preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC. - Strong clinical and critical thinking skills. - Ability to work well in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing patient needs. **Patient Ratio:** - Medical: 1:6 - Surgical Peds: 1:6 - Transitional Care: 1:6 (Note: Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.) **Training and Orientation:** A comprehensive orientation will be provided that focuses on department-specific training and policies. **Dress Code:** Professional nursing attire is required, including clean scrubs. **Additional Requirements:** - No requests for time off (RTO) will be accepted during the assignment. - Clearance documentation for immunizations is mandatory prior to the start date. - Clearance appointments must be scheduled accordingly, with orientation beginning on September 27. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
