**Job Description: Ambulatory OR RN** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and be adept at providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. This position offers flexible scheduling options, including 4x10-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care in the ambulatory operating room, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards. - Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to facilitate the smooth operation of surgical procedures. - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including equipment setup and sterilization processes. - Monitor patients’ conditions pre-operatively and post-operatively and provide necessary interventions. - Document patient care and procedures accurately using the charting system, Epic. - Participate in training and development of new staff members and assist in clinical education. - Float to different areas within the perioperative facility as needed, based on patient and facility requirements. **Qualifications:** - Current South Carolina or Compact RN License required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be beneficial. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ambulatory OR or related surgical setting with a focus on specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Ophthalmology, Surgical Oncology, or similar. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Familiarity with the Epic charting system is required. - Must be comfortable working a day shift schedule, with a possibility of working late shifts once every four weeks. **Work Environment:** - Ambulatory OR setting with 9 operating rooms. - No weekend or holiday shifts; primarily Monday through Friday, with day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM depending on the schedule. - Ideal candidates will be flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the facility. **Additional Information:** - Travelers may be required to comply with specific facility guidelines, including hurricane season readiness from June to November. - Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered. - Travelers should be aware that Responsibilities and Potential Float is aligned with facility needs. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
