**Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts available) **On-Call Required:** Weeknights and weekends, with a maximum of one requested shift off allowed between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. **Unit Information:** - **Location:** Operating Room, Second Floor, South Tower - **Address:** 1313 Hermann Dr., Houston, TX 77004 - **Number of ORs:** 14 (2 CVORs, 12 ORs) - **Staffing:** 8 RNs, 8 Surgical Technologists **General Information:** This high-paced Operating Room consists of a dynamic team, operating from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and transitioning to various service levels throughout the day. The OR emphasizes a steady patient ratio of 1:1, ensuring personalized care for every patient. **Qualifications:** - **Required:** - A minimum of 2 years of OR Circulating Experience in an Acute Care Hospital - Varied skill set with experience in General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Ortho, and Robotics - **Preferred:** - CNOR Certification - 5 years of OR nursing experience **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Heavy Robotics - Gynecological Surgery - General Surgery - Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) - Colorectal - Vascular - Urology **Personality Fit:** Ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment, and able to handle the demands of the surgical setting. **Certifications Required:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) **Floating Area:** - Preoperative Holding **Dress Code:** - Scrubs provided by the hospital **Additional Information:** - Daily huddles at 6:45 AM - 30-minute response time for on-call duties - Self-scheduling for on-call shifts (1 to 2 per week based on PTO requests) - Call coverage available 24 hours on weekends; weekday call starts after the regular shift **Join Our Team at ARMStaffing!
