**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute Care Night Shift** **Location:** Brevard, NC **Shift:** 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 30 - **Staffing:** 40+ healthcare professionals **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Unit team in Brevard, NC. This is a night shift position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, from Medical-Surgical to Critical Care. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and therapy specialists to provide comprehensive care. - Perform essential nursing tasks including IV starts, care of central venous lines, arterial lines, Foley catheter insertion, EKG monitoring, and wound care. - Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status as necessary. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records using the Cerner EMR system. - Participate in daily team meetings to discuss patient care, treatments, and discharge planning. **Qualifications:** - Must possess a current RN license and have BLS certification (ACLS certification required by the end of orientation). - Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in Med-Surg and/or ICU/Stepdown nursing. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model. **Patient Ratios:** - ICU/Stepdown: 2-4 patients per nurse - Med-Surg: 5-6 patients per nurse - A minimum of 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT) will be available on the floor as needed. **Dress Code:** - Nurses: Navy blue scrubs - Nursing Assistants (NAs): Galaxy/Royal blue scrubs **Weekend and Holiday Commitment:** - Weekend rotation includes 3 Monday and Friday shifts per 6-week schedule, with holiday assignments as per staffing matrix. **We are committed to supporting our team members, offering varied resources to ensure optimal job satisfaction, clinical support, and professional growth!** --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
