**Job Title: Respiratory Therapist** **Shift:** 36 Hours - 3x12s, 19:00 - 07:30 **Location:** Southfield Campus **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in delivering life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients across Intensive Care and General Practice Units. You will perform both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures and maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments as required. Effective communication with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare team members is essential for this role, along with accurate documentation of all aspects of patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer life-support and resuscitation to patients as per protocol. - Provide monitoring and medical gas therapy according to the needs of the patient. - Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in a timely manner. - Maintain clinical expertise for various assignments throughout the hospital. - Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding patient care. - Document all patient care activities accurately and timely. - Supervise and direct junior staff, including Respiratory Therapists, externs, and students when assigned. - Ensure completion of necessary patient billing information. **Qualifications:** - **Required Skills & Experience:** - Minimum of two years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist. - **Education:** - Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program is required. A Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred. - **Certification & Licensure:** - Must hold registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care. - Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan. - BLS certification is required. - **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - NICU experience is highly desirable. **Working Environment:** - In the ICU setting, you may handle up to 6 patients at a time (this may vary). - In a treatment context, you could be responsible for managing 1 to 20 patients (this may vary). --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
