Job Description
**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Unit** **Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM** **Location: Nashville, TN** **Unit Overview:** Join a dynamic Med/Surg team dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care. Our post-operative medical/surgical unit houses 34 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1, ensuring an environment where nurses can focus on delivering attentive care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals and families. - Conduct bedside shift reports and facilitate personal connections with patients. - Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment. - Start IVs, perform basic wound care, and manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. - Utilize advanced medical equipment, including IV Pumps, Telemetry devices, and EKG machines. - Collaborate with a skilled team including tech support available on all shifts and administrative support during day hours. **Qualifications:** - Active RN license and BLS certification are required. - Proven experience in Med/Surg nursing, with the ability to prioritize patient care tasks. - Strong communication skills to engage patients and families in their care plans. **Scheduling Requirements:** - Commitment to work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including at least two weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule. **Floating Policy:** - Contract labor is the first to float, followed by rotation among multiple contracted staff when necessary. **Dress Code:** - Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms). **Awards and Recognition:** Our Med/Surg unit boasts a comprehensive stroke certification and is an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, recognized for its excellence in patient care. **Additional Information:** We seek dedicated nurses who are eager to enhance their skills, utilize new technologies, and join a team known for its supportive environment and experienced staff. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
