**Job Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at an acute care hospital. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients during the labor and delivery process, as well as postpartum and newborn care. **Shift Details:** - **Schedule:** Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:30) - **Weekend Requirement:** Every other weekend - **On-call Requirement:** Yes - **Float Requirement:** Yes, to meet facility needs **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during labor and delivery. - Monitor fetal heart rates and assess maternal vital signs. - Assist with various procedures, including Cesarean sections, amniocentesis, and vaginal deliveries. - Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered. - Educate parents on discharge instructions and lactation support. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. - Utilize the Epic charting system for patient documentation. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license in California. - Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate. - Previous charge experience is preferred, with a patient ratio experience of 1:3. - Must be willing to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby. - Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment. **Patient Care Details:** - Daily census ranging from 15-20 patients. - Provide care for neonates, infants, and postpartum patients. - Work in an environment that supports high-risk obstetrical patients. **Our Offerings:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
