**Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)** **Shift Details:** - Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - Schedule: 3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours **Location:** Akron, Ohio **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. This role requires a strong ability to manage diverse patient needs, provide high-quality care, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care with a focus on Med/Surg Telemetry patients. - Monitor vital signs and electrocardiograms, maintaining a close watch on the telemetry system. - Assess patient conditions, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions. - Assist physicians during exams and procedures, as well as provide patient education. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and care delivered using electronic health records (EHR). **Qualifications:** - Current and valid Ohio Nursing License or Compact State License. - Active BLS and ACLS certifications. - Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required before considering travel assignments. - Strong assessment, organizational, and time-management skills. **Additional Information:** - COVID-19 vaccine required, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons. - Flu vaccine also required with the same exemption policy. - Previous charge experience is advantageous. - Experience with charting systems relevant to the specialty is beneficial. **Work Environment:** - Dynamic and fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit. - Collaborative team atmosphere focused on providing excellent patient care.
