**Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Location:** Salem, Virginia **Unit Information:** - **Unit Type:** Maternity Care Center - **Number of Beds:** 9 Labor/Delivery Rooms, 8 Postpartum/Gynecology Rooms, 2 Operating Room Suites, 23 Wellborn Nurseries - **Number of Staff:** 50+ - **Staff Types:** - Day Shift: Director, Manager, Couplet Nurses, Birth Response Nurse, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech - Night Shift: Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse, Birth Response, Couplet, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech **Patient Ratios:** - Couplets: 3 couples to 1 nurse - Labor & Delivery: 1 nurse to 1 patient in active labor or when Pitocin/epidural is administered **Equipment:** - Corometrics - EMR Centricity Perinatal & Meditech **Job Requirements:** - **Must Have:** - OB experience - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN - **Preferred:** - Experience as a Cesarean Section Circulator, First Assistant, and Scrub Tech **Typical Procedures:** - Labor and Delivery - Cesarean Sections - Postpartum and Newborn Care - OBED Triage - Inductions - Midwifery Services **Personality Fit:** - Energetic and self-directed individuals will thrive in this role. **Additional Information:** - **Floating Area:** Within the unit, no external facility rotations required. - **Dress Code:** Scrubs provided by the facility. - **Scheduling:** 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Days: Saturday/Sunday; Nights: Friday/Saturday); no call requirement for travel staff, with opportunities for extra shifts. **Number of Positions Available:** 1-2 **Guaranteed Hours:** Full-time through a 13-week contract.
