**Job Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry** **Location:** New York **Unit:** West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care **Number of Beds:** 37 **Shift:** Nights - 12 Hours (7 PM - 7 AM) **Contract Duration:** 13 Weeks **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring comfort and safety during their overnight stays. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to patient care during night shifts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish comprehensive patient care strategies. - Ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. - Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC). - Assist in training and mentoring new staff members as required. - Float to other units as necessary to support patient care needs. - Work as a charge nurse as needed. **Schedule Requirements:** - Availability for 36 to 48 hours per week. - Must work at least 1 holiday per contract. - One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. **Qualifications:** - **Required Experience:** Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing; 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates. - **Preferred Experience:** 2 years of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing. - **Licenses and Certifications Required:** - Active New York RN license - NIH Certification - AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification **Additional Information:** - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. - Must be flexible according to the facility's scheduling needs. - Block bookings may be possible but are not guaranteed. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
