Job Description
**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift: Day - 4x12 Hours** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to our patients. As an RN, you will be responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed meticulously. You will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, playing a crucial role in patient safety and efficient care delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis for individualized care plans. - Identify patient and family teaching needs and goals through collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary teams. - Provide timely patient information and updates during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences on a weekly basis. - Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record, adhering to policies. - Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. - Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching promptly. - Communicate changes in patient status to all care providers to support continuity and safety of care. - Offer direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring effective decision-making and delegation. - Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to hospital safety protocols. - Engage in team-building activities to enhance unit functioning and ensure a positive work atmosphere. - Monitor necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective care without compromising quality. - Assume charge responsibilities as requested and contribute to professional growth through ongoing education and self-study. - Undertake other duties as assigned to support patient care and unit operations. **Job Requirements:** - Current RN license in applicable state. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift (CIRH ONLY). - Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
