**Job Title: Critical Care Nurse (Days, 3x12 Hour Shifts)** **Shift: Days – 0645-1915; 3 12-Hour Shifts Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care to patients across the pediatric to geriatric age spectrum. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing nursing measures, and evaluating the effectiveness of care in accordance with established standards and best practices. The Critical Care Nurse will be responsible for recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and managing life-threatening emergency situations effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Ongoing Assessment:** Continuously assess critically ill patients to ensure optimal health outcomes. - **Comprehensive Health Evaluations:** Conduct detailed health histories and physical assessments to inform treatment plans. - **Prioritization of Care:** Identify and prioritize patient problems based on actual and potential health threats. - **Care Plan Development:** Create and implement tailored care plans based on ongoing patient assessments, including discharge planning and necessary referrals. - **Management of Critical Incidents:** Effectively manage life-threatening complications in alignment with healthcare policies and the American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) standards. - **Preventative Interventions:** Establish interventions to prevent complications, maintain airway and ventilation, ensure hemodynamic stability, and support stable heart rhythms. - **Professional Development:** Maintain and update knowledge and skills in critical care nursing. Stay current with medical advancements, biomedical equipment, and ethical standards. - **Compliance:** Ensure all minimum qualifications for the position are maintained, including licensure, certification, and registration. Complete mandatory education and participate in annual competency assessments. - **Collaboration and Support:** Work closely with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** - Valid nursing license and certifications in critical care nursing. - Relevant clinical experience in critical care or similar nursing settings. - Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and principles. - Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
