**Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist** **Shift:** Tuesday - Friday, 10-hour day shift; no call, no weekends **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and possess a thorough understanding of sophisticated imaging equipment. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients across all age groups within a safe and compliant environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. - Execute high-quality testing on patients, ensuring safety and adherence to health care standards. - Review provider orders and consult with radiologists as necessary. - Complete departmental processes for resulting and documentation of exams. - Demonstrate complete working knowledge of all equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department. - Prepare, calibrate, document accurately, and administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, ingestion, and inhalation methods. - Perform SPECT imaging and ensure effective radiation protection for patients, staff, and self. - Maintain a daily activities log, ensuring accurate documentation. - Monitor inventory, ordering supplies for the Nuclear Medicine area, and report shortages. - Conduct visual preventive safety inspections and daily quality assurance tests on all equipment. - Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and demonstrate proper patient positioning. - Communicate any equipment problems to the immediate supervisor. **Qualifications:** - One year of Nuclear Medicine experience is required. - Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. - New York State license/registration is required. - ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine is required. - CPR certification is required.
