**Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Vascular Surgery** **Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) specializing in vascular surgeries to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves assisting in operating room (OR) vascular surgeries and providing exceptional support to the surgical team, ensuring the best outcomes for patients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist during vascular surgeries, including open heart procedures. - Circulate in the operating room, handling patient care before, during, and after procedures. - Operate with a high level of professionalism and skill, adhering to established protocols and standards. - Participate in patient assessments and contribute to surgical planning. - Ensure compliance with safety and infection control measures while providing care. - Communicate effectively with the surgical team and provide patient education when necessary. - Available for on-call shifts as needed. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license (Florida or compact license) required. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in vascular surgical settings is required. - Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred; ACLS certification is preferred. - Experience in Level II Trauma required; prior Charge experience is a plus. - Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. - Must be comfortable with pediatric patients. **Working Conditions:** - This position requires working every third weekend (4 weekend shifts per contract). - Guaranteed hours begin after the first call-off within a pay period. - The facility includes 615 total staffed beds and focuses on a variety of patient diagnoses such as peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, and coronary artery disease. **Patient Care Environment:** - Daily census is approximately 45 patients, with various age groups treated including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. - Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. **Additional Information:** - Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is necessary; exemptions for medical or religious reasons can be discussed. - Smoke-free environment. - Candidates must live outside of a 100-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the position.
