**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift: Day - 3x12.0 Hours** **Location:** [Location to be Specified] **Job Summary:** As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care through the implementation and supervision of nursing care plans. You will be responsible for supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees to ensure a cohesive and effective care environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans. - Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and establish goals related to patient diagnoses. - Provide timely updates on patient information and status for initial and re-evaluation team conferences. - Ensure all documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses is accurate and submitted in accordance with hospital policy. - Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing education for patients and families based on identified health care needs. - Initiate discharge planning upon patient admission, including teaching and preparation for discharge. - Communicate pertinent changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety. - Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing effective problem-solving techniques. - Maintain personal and environmental safety as per hospital and nursing protocols. - Contribute positively to unit functioning by offering direction, support, and reassurance to staff, patients, and families. - Facilitate necessary communication with management regarding service needs, such as supplies and training. - Take charge responsibility as requested after completing the orientation period. - Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study. - Organize and prioritize tasks to efficiently meet patient needs. **Required Qualifications:** - Current BLS Certification prior to first shift. - ACLS Certification (required for specific locations). - Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience. - Experience in PCU/Critical Care or Step-Down units. - Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Commitment to patient and employee safety. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles. **Additional Information:** This position may require participation in various clinical and team-building activities aimed at enhancing unit cohesion and effectiveness. --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
