**Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery** **Shift:** 7 AM - 7 PM **Location:** [City, State] **Contract Length:** 91 weeks **Position Type:** Travel Nurse **Unit Information:** - **Bed Capacity:** 26 - **Staffing:** 112 personnel including 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (TL), 14 nurses, 2-3 surgical technicians, and 2 unit clerks on day shift. - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:1 for high-risk labor and C-sections - 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, PTL on magnesium sulfate, postpartum on magnesium sulfate - 1:3 postpartum without a baby **Responsibilities:** As a Travel RN in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for: - Providing high-quality care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period - Circulating in C-sections and managing high-risk labor situations - Utilizing advanced monitoring technologies such as Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and CPN (GE) monitors - Collaborating with a skilled nursing team while maintaining a supportive environment **Qualifications:** - **Required:** Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience in circulating C-sections - **Preferred:** More than 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, particularly in high-risk circumstances **Typical Procedures:** - C-sections, inductions, amniotomy (AROM), intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), fetal monitoring (DFM), and Doppler monitoring **Ideal Candidate Attributes:** - Hardworking and flexible team player - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively within a team nursing approach **Unit Highlights:** - Offer self-scheduling, promoting work-life balance and staff satisfaction - Supported by a strong leadership team that facilitates a collaborative nursing environment - Significant opportunities for professional development through an OB Hospitalist program that began recently **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
