**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse** **Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM** **Location: Labor and Delivery Unit, 4th Floor, G Tower** --- **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 16 - **Number of Staff:** 120 - **Staff Composition:** - Day Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN - Night Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN - **Patient Ratios:** 1:1, 1:2 - **Equipment Used:** Baxter Pumps, Phillips Electronic Fetal Monitoring - **EMR System:** Cerner, Fetal Ink --- **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on both normal and high-risk deliveries. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care for laboring women, including assessment and monitoring of fetal and maternal well-being. - Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, dilatation and curettage (D&C), cerclage, and C-hyst. - Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Deliver immediate newborn care post-delivery. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). --- **Qualifications:** **Required Skills:** - Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with a background in high-risk obstetrics. - Strong skills in immediate newborn care. - Certification in NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in circulating roles within the Labor and Delivery unit. **Best Personality Fit:** - Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable to the ever-changing demands of the unit. --- **Additional Details:** - **Floating Areas:** MFMU, MOMB, NICU - **Dress Code:** Scrubs will be provided. - **Weekends and On-Call:** Not required, available upon approval. --- **Contract Information:** - **Number of Positions Available:** 1 - **Contract Duration:** 91 Weeks - **Position Necessity:** Contractor Replacement - **Guaranteed Hours:** Yes --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
