**Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM **Location:** Asheville, NC **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 44 - **Number of Staff:** 95 - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 at grid and 5:1 stretched **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will excel in teamwork, possess a patient-focused attitude, and bring critical neuro and trauma care expertise. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. - Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placements, and TLSO brace fittings. - Manage IV infusions, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and feeding tube placements. - Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients’ responses to treatments. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - **Must Have:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification. - **Preferred:** Experience in neuro and trauma care. **Typical Equipment Used:** - IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, patient lifts. **Work Environment:** - Floating to stepdown and med-surg units may be required. - Expected to work every other weekend. **Dress Code:** - Navy blue scrubs. **Personality Fit:** We are looking for a team player who is committed to putting patients first. **Contract Details:** - Contract Duration: 91 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 1 **Apply Today:** Join our team and make a difference in patient care by applying for the Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse position! --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
