**Job Title: Surgical Technologist / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN)** **Shift:** 06:00 - 16:00 **Schedule:** 4 Days - 10 Hours **Start Date:** ASAP **Position Type:** Full Time **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our surgical team. This role involves performing a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients while ensuring a safe and sterile environment in the Operating Room (OR). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical technology or nursing, with experience in various surgical specialties. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including skin preparation and transport to the OR. - Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor for breaches in protocol. - Position patients according to specific surgical procedures. - Establish and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and sutures to the physician during surgery as directed. - Utilize physician preference cards to prepare for surgical cases and ensure they are up-to-date. - Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care. - Adhere to safety practices and universal precautions at all times. - Demonstrate clinical expertise in the use and care of surgical instruments and supplies. - Be familiar with facility policies regarding decontamination, processing, and sterilization protocols. - Adapt patient care methods to accommodate the unique needs of diverse patient populations. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required. - A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred. - Current BLS certification from an accredited organization is required. - Certification as a Surgical Technologist or a valid LVN/LPN License is required. - Ability to scrub in at least three specialty areas, including but not limited to Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, and Robotics is highly preferred. **Weekend and On-Call Requirements:** - Must be available for one weekend per month. - One day of on-call duty per week may be required. **Benefits:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
