**Job Description: Emergency Department Nurse** **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Location:** Franklin, NC **Overview:** Join a state-of-the-art, full-service critical access hospital that is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Our newly opened facility features a 17-bed emergency department ready to serve the community, equipped with two trauma bays and advanced medical technology to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department setting. - Maintain patient safety and comfort while managing multiple patient care responsibilities. - Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and techs. - Utilize equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care. - Document all patient interactions accurately using the Cerner documentation system. - Be prepared to float within various sections of the Emergency Department as needed. **Requirements:** - A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting. - Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits per year is preferred. - Certifications required prior to starting: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS. ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire. - Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to colleagues. - Flexibility to work all areas of the Emergency Department. **Patient Experience:** - Adhere to AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) during patient interactions. - Maintain respectful behavior and keep patients informed throughout their visit. **Dress Code:** - Navy scrubs are required. **Qualifications:** - A passionate commitment to serving a diverse and multicultural community. - Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. **Why Choose Us?** Be a part of a supportive team that values collaboration, innovation, and the importance of emotional and physical patient experiences.
