**Job Title: Critical Care Nurse - Universal Care Unit** **Location:** [Location Redacted] **Shift:** 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM **Unit Overview:** We are launching a Universal Care Unit designed to accommodate a range of patient acuity, from intermediate to critical care. This innovative unit will initially open with 4 beds, expanding to 8 beds by August 2025. We are seeking dedicated and skilled critical care-trained nurses to join our team to ensure the highest standards of patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an ICU/SCU setting. - Monitor and manage patients with varying levels of acuity, ensuring comfort and safety. - Administer medications and treatments, including common drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Levophed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care through tele-intensivist support. - Be adaptable in a start-up environment, willing to float to different units as required. - Participate in orientation programs, including shadowing and training on equipment and workflows. **Qualifications:** - Current nursing license (Active and in good standing) - Critical care experience or training is required. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic critical care management. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. - Demonstrated adaptability and a willingness to engage in process improvements. - CPR and ACLS certifications preferred. **Orientation & Training:** - Orientation will be a hybrid model incorporating both shadowing opportunities and training at a nearby facility to gain familiarity with EMR and equipment. **Patient Ratios:** - Based on patient acuity, with a standard ratio of 4:1.
