**Job Title: Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** Days **Description:** Join a dynamic surgical team in a vibrant healthcare facility! As a Perioperative RN, you will play an essential role in the provision of care to patients before, during, and after surgical operations and procedures. We seek an efficient and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about patient safety and able to adapt quickly to new skills and challenges. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring safety and comfort. - Respond quickly and accurately in various situations, supporting a diverse patient population. - Participate in preoperative assessments, patient education, and postoperative care. - Maintain a thorough understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques to ensure patient safety. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes for surgical patients. - Manage rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. **Minimum Requirements:** - Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or a compact state. - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire. - Ability to take an average of 7-9 days of call per month with a 20-minute response time to the hospital. - Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques. - Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions. - Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and listening abilities. - Cool-tempered with emotional and physical stamina to respond effectively in stressful situations. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a plus. - Prior experience in pre-operative and/or post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). - Proficient in Pre-op, PACU, and circulating General, Orthopedic, and Obstetric cases (including C-sections). - Capability to assist in trauma cases in the emergency room. - Confidence in caring for surgical patients during emergency call cases as the only operating room nurse on-site. **Why Join Us?** Working in a supportive and fulfilling environment, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional care to the community.
