**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Nights)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule, providing 12-hour care in a behavioral health setting. The RN will play a crucial role in delivering quality care and support to individuals with various mental health needs while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess patients' care needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. - Coordinate and provide nursing care to individuals and groups under the direction of physicians. - Teach patients and their families regarding care plans, discharge, and aftercare instructions. - Create and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff, addressing their unique needs in individual and group settings. - Document all necessary information in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring meticulous reporting and communication. - Monitor patient safety and wellbeing, promptly reporting any potential risks to physicians. - Foster a welcoming environment by adhering to quality improvement standards and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and clients. - Function as a clinical leader by delegating tasks and promoting staff development while ensuring adherence to care protocols and standards of practice. - Support a recovery-focused atmosphere by delivering person-centered, compassionate care within the community setting. - Uphold the organization's mission and values, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions and communications. - Provide holistic support—including spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical care—to all patients. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health nursing. - Current and valid state nursing license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. **Additional Information:** - Shift: Night shifts (12 hours), with 36 hours guaranteed per week. - Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth through annual training and competency demonstrations. - Possible supervisory responsibilities; may function as a charge nurse.
