**Job Title: MRI/CT Tech** **Location:** East Hampton, NY **Shift:** Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM **Position Type:** Full-Time **Free Housing Available on First Contract** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI/CT Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in East Hampton. This role involves providing exceptional imaging services at both the Easthampton Emergency Site and Southampton Hospital. You will be responsible for performing MRI imaging exams and CT scans for patients of all ages, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and delivering quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging exams with proficiency. - Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. - Assist in intravenous therapy, including contrast selection and injection. - Document patient information and procedures, including informed consent and patient charts. - Exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust. - Demonstrate expertise in performing CT imaging exams; produce high-quality radiographs as ordered. - Use pediatric immobilization devices when needed, adhering to safety precautions. - Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas; check equipment and supplies regularly. - Observe sterile and aseptic techniques as required; comply with bio-safety and radiation safety regulations. - Provide special accommodations for patients with unique needs, including those who are hearing impaired or physically challenged. - Perform tasks in PACS and ensure all procedures align with established hospital policies and safety standards. - Stay updated with technology and advancements in radiologic procedures. **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology. - Current NYSDOH License and ARRT certification are required. - BLS certification (AHA) is mandatory. - Strong understanding of radiation safety and bio-safety protocols. - Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective communication and patient care skills. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Ability to recognize and address patient fears and anxieties. - Committed to maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions. **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
