**Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Surgical Technologist** **Shift: 3x12.0 - Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights)** **Job Overview:** We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Operating Room Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment, particularly for cardiac surgeries. The ideal candidate will have experience with various surgical specialties and be comfortable working with advanced surgical technology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. - Assist surgical teams in performing a wide range of surgeries, including cardiac procedures such as CABG, TAVRs, valve surgeries (both minimally invasive and sternatomies), and heart failure interventions (VADs, Impella insertion, ECMO). - Scrub and circulate in the operating room, demonstrating proficiency and efficiency during complex surgical cases. - Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room staff to ensure safe patient care and optimal surgical outcomes. - Participate in the care of a diverse patient population within the surgical setting, including trauma (level 1 trauma center), orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, and oral-maxillofacial surgeries. - Maintain equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in proper working order and sterile. - Provide support during the transplant procedures involving livers, kidneys, and hearts as needed. **Qualifications:** - Current New York State Surgical Technologist License. - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an operating room, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a level 1 trauma center. - Proven cardiac experience with scrubbing and circulating surgeries. - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. - Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by unit needs. **Skills and Attributes:** - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. - A team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach. **Guaranteed Hours: 103 Contract Weeks** **Benefits:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
