**Job Title: Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) - Temporary Position** **Job Description:** We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a temporary capacity to cover staff leave. This opportunity is ideal for both local and non-local candidates, offering flexible scheduling and the chance to work in a supportive environment. **Position Details:** - **Specialty:** Cardiology RN - **Schedule:** Full-time, 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM - **Location:** Outpatient Cardiology Clinic - **Start Date:** As soon as possible - **Experience Required:** Minimum of 2 years in Cardiology nursing - **Weekend Requirement:** No - **On-call Requirement:** No - **Floating Between Units:** As needed within skillset **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult cardiac patients, including those with advanced cardiac support (LVAD) and others in specialized clinics (e.g., AFib, hypertension). - Conduct patient assessments, evaluate care needs, and implement cardiology-specific protocols. - Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, treatment plans, and necessary follow-up care. - Monitor and record patient vitals, manage medications, and ensure proper documentation through EPIC charting system. - Collaborate with healthcare teams, including interventionalists and other specialists, to optimize patient outcomes. **Qualifications:** - Active RN License (WA or compact license). - Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in cardiology is required. - Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiac procedures. - Experience in patient education and follow-up care. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in vital signs monitoring, medication reconciliation, venipuncture/phlebotomy, and lab result interpretation. - Familiarity with cardiac monitoring equipment and procedures. **Facility Highlights:** - Engage with a multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality cardiac care. - Exposure to innovative treatments and technologies in cardiology. **Additional Information:** - Candidates must provide proof of local address and supervisory references covering the last year of work experience. - Completion of a prescreen questionnaire and confirmation of interview availability is required for submission.
