**Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse (Float Pool)** **Shift: 19:00 - 07:30** **Contract Length: 13 weeks** **Number of Openings: 1** **Location: Emergency Department (Float Pool)** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Emergency Department Nurse to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of high-quality patient care. This role will involve utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, document care, and educate patients and their families. The nurse will effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and actively participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals to ensure successful outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Coordinate and deliver quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department. - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective nursing care plans. - Delegate and supervise nursing activities, ensuring all care meets established standards. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding patient status and care plans. - Participate in problem-solving sessions to address patient care variances and implement solutions. - Float between Emergency Department and ED Observation as needed. - Maintain professional knowledge and technical skills within the nursing field. **Experience Required:** - Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant Emergency Department experience. - Proficient in managing patient ratios (1:5) with the ability to adapt based on case load. **Education:** - Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). **Certifications and Licensure Required:** - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. **Preferred/Nice-to-Have Certifications:** - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification. - Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN). **Skills:** - Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective care plans. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and hospital personnel. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
