**Job Title: Night Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse (3x12-Hour Shifts)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position offers three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. As a vital member of the nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to patients in various medical-surgical telemetry settings. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver patient-centered nursing care for adults and geriatric patients with diverse conditions including respiratory issues, general medical and surgical diagnoses, and psychiatric observations. - Administer medications, perform various nursing procedures, and monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and lab results. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the EPIC charting system. - Float between units as needed, and manage a patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse. - Participate in patient education and support initiatives, particularly concerning chronic conditions such as diabetes. - Adhere to infection control protocols and manage isolation precautions as necessary. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units. - BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. - Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. - Strong skills in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias. - Ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding. - Experience with EPIC charting system is required. - Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work holidays as needed. **Additional Information:** - Orientation for new hires is provided with an expected duration of 48 hours. - COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with medical or religious exemptions considered. - Compliance documentation must be completed by the specified deadline prior to the start date. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
