**Job Title: Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Medical Unit** **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM) **Schedule:** Varies, 12x3 **Contract Length:** 16 Weeks **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our dynamic 20-bed Acute Medical Unit. Our unit caters to a diverse patient population dealing with various conditions, including pneumonia, sepsis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), alcohol-related issues, behavioral health challenges, anemia, and minor post-operative care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in an acute medical setting. - Effectively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. - Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring patient safety. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care. - Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med-Surg Registered Nurse in a similar setting. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - NIHSS certification (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale). - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. **Holiday Requirements:** Candidates must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve) during the contract period. **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week --- **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
