**Job Title: Night Shift RN - Acute Care** **Location:** Franklin, NC **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Contract Length:** 91 weeks **Number of Positions Available:** 2 **Job Description:** Join a dedicated team at a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility as a Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care unit. You will be a critical part of providing exceptional patient care in a hospital designed with patient comfort in mind. **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 30 - **Staffing:** 4-5 RNs, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on Night Shift - **Patient Ratios:** - MedSurg: 6:1 (occasionally 7:1) - ICU: Typically more step-down than ICU patients, 4:1 **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Acute Care unit - Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Cerner) - Perform procedures such as thoracentesis, ventilator management, arterial lines, central line placements, and dressing changes **Qualifications:** - Must have prior ICU or Step Down/Progressive Care experience - At least one travel assignment in a relevant nursing role is required - Preferred: previous ICU experience **Certifications Required:** - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) **Ideal Candidate:** - Outgoing personality with strong teamwork skills - Committed to delivering high-quality patient care - Flexible to float to other areas as needed - Comfortable with weekend and on-call duties (every other weekend minimum expectation) **Dress Code:** Scrub Color/Attire - Navy Blue **Why Join Us?** This facility has received multiple accolades, including being named an Acute Stroke Ready hospital and has earned designations from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
