**Job Description: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery** **Shift:** Days **Schedule:** 3x12 hour shifts (may float across all campuses to Maternity/Labor & Delivery units) **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will utilize your nursing expertise to provide high-quality care and support to patients through the application of the nursing process. You will work in a dynamic environment with a diverse patient population, focusing on high-risk obstetrics, antepartum care, and both cesarean and vaginal deliveries. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in the management of care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Monitor and assess patients’ conditions throughout their labor and delivery experience. - Administer medications and manage drips, including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin. - Float to Maternal/Newborn and Postpartum units as needed. - Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using an electronic medical record system (EPIC). **Unit Information:** - 45-bed facility with 2 Operating Rooms. - Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2. - Focus on high-risk obstetrics including antepartum, cesarean sections, and vaginal deliveries. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1.5 years of current Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting. - Valid nursing credentials, including BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification. - Travel contract experience preferred. - Ability to provide a home/taxable address or driver’s license. - Completed skills checklist within the last year. **Work Environment:** - Respond to call backs at a 1.5x multiplier with a 2-hour minimum. - Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as required (every 3rd weekend).
