**Job Title: CT Technologist** **Shift: 5x8.0-775874** **Schedule:** Monday - Thursday, 8 PM - 6:30 AM EST; holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit needs. **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. **Key Responsibilities:** - Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating scans, adhering strictly to department policies and procedures. - Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. - Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensuring their understanding and comfort. - Insert IVs as necessary for imaging tests. - Position patients appropriately, including safely lifting or moving those with limited mobility, following safe patient handling protocols. - Maintain accurate patient records by documenting essential components in EPIC, ensuring proper identification of images, and confirming that images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon completion of exams. - Uphold a clean and safe scanning facility. **Requirements:** - Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. - Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the position). - Minimum of two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation). - Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment. **Soft Skills:** - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Patient and compassionate disposition, with a focus on patient care. - Ability to work collaboratively as a team player, maintaining a cohesive working environment. **Guaranteed Hours:** Full-time commitment over 117 contract weeks. --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
