**Job Description: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery** **Shift:** Days (07:00-19:00) **Location:** [Facility Location] We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care, adhering to state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver patient-centered care to Labor and Delivery patients using the Nursing Process. - Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning of safe delivery of care. - Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development. - Delegate patient care priorities effectively to staff, considering their education and experience. - Provide guidance and supervision to staff in delivering patient care. - Float to nursery and postpartum areas as necessary. **Qualifications:** - Active RN license in the state of [state]. - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Labor and Delivery. - Current certifications: BLS and ACLS. NRP and Fetal Monitoring certifications are preferred and must be obtained within 6 months of employment. - Proficient in EMR systems, preferably Cerner. - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 2:1. - Must live greater than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible. **General Information:** - Number of Positions: 1 - Contract Duration: 91 weeks - Guaranteed hours: 48 hours weekly **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
