**Job Title: Cardiac Med-Surg Registered Nurse** **Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM** **Location: [Undisclosed Hospital Details]** **Position Overview:** Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in a 33-bed Cardiac Med-Surg unit specializing in post-operative care for CABG, vascular, and general cardiac patients. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a committed team of healthcare professionals in a supportive and high-acuity environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including post-operative CABGs and vascular surgeries. - Administer cardiac medications, drips, and electrolyte replacements with precision and care. - Manage chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands. - Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience. - Adhere to hospital policies and unit-specific guidelines to maintain high standards of care. - Participate in the hospital's floating policy as required to meet staffing needs. **Qualifications:** - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Experience with post-operative cardiac care and management of cardiac drips/titrations. - Knowledgeable in handling chest tubes and other cardiac devices. - Required certifications: BLS, ALS, and EKG Interpretation. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. **Patient Care Philosophy:** - Commitment to enhancing patient experience through effective pain management, communication, and responsiveness. **Unit Culture:** - Our unit boasts a blend of experienced nurses and new talent.
