**Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)** **Shift: Day (7A - 7P)** **Unit Information:** - **Location:** Medical Center - **Floor:** 2 - **Number of Beds:** 26 - **Number of Staff:** 112 **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D) for our bustling maternity unit. This role is essential in providing exceptional care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills, effective communication, and a strong commitment to patient advocacy. **Unit Details:** - **Staff Composition:** - Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 14 nurses, 2-3 Surgical Technologists, 2 unit clerks - Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 12 nurses, 2 Surgical Technologists, 1 unit clerk - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:1 for high-risk labor & C-sections - 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, PTL on magnesium, and postpartum on magnesium - 1:3 for postpartum without child **Equipment & Technology:** - Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN (GE) monitors, EMR (CPN Gold, Meditech) **Qualifications:** - **Required:** - Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience - Experience circulating C-sections - **Preferred:** - More than 2 years of labor and delivery experience - High-risk LDR experience **Typical Procedures:** - C-sections, Inductions, Artificial Rupture of Membranes (AROM), Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC) placement, Digital Fetal Monitoring (DFM), Doppler monitoring **Team Dynamics:** We pride ourselves on a supportive and collaborative environment.
