**Job Title: Adult Respiratory Therapist (RRT)** **Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to working three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to adult patients within a dynamic and collaborative team environment at a Magnet status teaching hospital. **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer respiratory therapy treatments to adult patients, including those in critical care settings. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. - Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy, adjusting care plans based on clinical evaluation. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures. - Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, including infection control protocols. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). - Current and active NBRC RRT certification, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. - South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand prior to the start date. - Previous experience in adult critical care preferred. **Work Conditions:** - Standard working hours are from 07:00 to 19:30 on scheduled days. - Required to work every other weekend and certain holidays. - Potential to float to the main hospital if necessary, maintaining consistent policies and equipment. **Key Highlights:** - The facility features a total of 865 staffed beds, including 2 ICUs, 2 step-down units, and a 21-bed emergency department. - The patient population includes complex medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients. - This role is structured to support an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, fostering a collaborative work environment. **Additional Information:** - Candidates must be open to the possibility of being assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November). - All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will be evaluated based on facility needs.
