**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift (3x12.0)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a day shift schedule (3x12.0). The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring adherence to nursing care plans. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis for individualized care plans. - Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Provide timely updates on patient information and status during Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences. - Maintain accountability for accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record. - Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. - Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission, anticipating the patient's discharge date. - Communicate significant changes in patient status to the appropriate care providers to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. - Guide, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel by utilizing effective decision-making and organizational skills. - Ensure personal and environmental safety in alignment with nursing policies and hospital procedures. - Foster a positive and efficient work environment by participating in team-building activities and providing reassurance to staff, patients, and families. - Collaborate with management and senior nursing staff regarding service needs such as supplies and equipment. - Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation. - Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. - Prioritize activities effectively to meet patient needs while ensuring quality care. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the first shift. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to the first shift (for specific facilities). - Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to patient safety and quality care. **Behavior Characteristics:** - Team player with a positive attitude. - Resourceful in overcoming obstacles and challenges. - Committed to maintaining a safe work and patient care environment. **Join Us:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
