**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse** **Shift: 0700-1930 (3x12 hour shifts)** **Location: 6777 W. Maple Road, Unit: Labor and Delivery** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting care and education for patients and their families. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to communicate pertinent patient and family information. - Participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient care goals and ensure the implementation of these solutions. - Formulate effective nursing care plans based on clinical knowledge and analytical abilities. - Deliver a wide range of professional nursing services related to labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. **Qualifications:** **Required Skills & Experience:** - Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience. - Postpartum experience is required. - Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities for nursing care plan development. - Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. **Education:** - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. **Certifications:** - Must possess current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. - Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
