**Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Nurse** **Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM **Location:** Asheville, NC **Unit Information:** - **Type:** Progressive Care Unit - **Number of Beds:** 44 beds - **Staffing:** Total of 95 staff members - **Day Shift:** 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC - **Night Shift:** 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched - **Equipment Used:** IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, Chest tubes, Trachs, Patient lifts - **Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:** Cerner **Role Overview:** As a nurse in our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions. You will work as part of a collaborative team focused on optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placements, and TLSO braces - Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions - Assist in lumber drain procedures and feeding tube placements - Administer blood transfusions as needed - Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to unit guidelines and policies **Qualifications:** - **Required Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - **Experience:** - Required: Neuro and trauma care experience - Preferred: Additional neuro and trauma care experience - **Personality Fit:** A team player who is patient-focused and committed to excellence in nursing care. **Floating Areas:** Stepdown units, Med-surg units **Dress Code:** Navy blue scrubs **Schedule:** Every other weekend **Number of Positions Available:** 9 --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
