**Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse** **Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM** **Location: Asheville, NC** **Unit Information:** - **Type of Unit:** Progressive Care Unit - **Number of Beds:** 44 beds - **Staffing:** 95 total staff members - **Day Shift:** 2 CNC/Charge RNs, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC - **Night Shift:** 2 CNC/Charge RNs, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC **Patient Ratios:** - 4:1 standard at grid; 5:1 during stretched hours **Equipment Utilized:** - IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, patient lifts - EMR System: Cerner **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct neuro and spinal assessments - Manage C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions - Perform lumber drain and feeding tube placements - Administer blood transfusions - Ensure patient safety and provide quality care in a fast-paced environment **Required Qualifications:** - Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications - Strong background in Neuro and Trauma Care - Proven ability to work effectively in a team-focused, patient-centered environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in Neuro and Trauma Care settings **Work Schedule:** - Every other weekend **Dress Code:** - Navy blue scrubs **Additional Information:** - Floating to stepdown and med-surg units may be required **Position Type:** - Contractor Replacement - Guaranteed Hours: 5 positions available - Contract Duration: 91 weeks --- **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
