**Job Title: MRI Technologist** **Shift:** 07:00 - 19:30 **Location:** Chippenham Hospital **Address:** 7101 Jahnke Road, Richmond, VA 23225 **Department:** Radiology **Floor:** 1st **Unit Information:** - **Type of Staff:** - Day Shift: 2 Technologists - Evening Shift: 2 Technologists - Night Shift: On-call - **Number of Staff:** 5 - **Equipment:** GE 450W 1.5 T - **EMR:** Meditech/Centricity PACS **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services in a dynamic radiology environment. This position involves conducting MRI scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in operating GE MRI equipment and have experience in various procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform MRI scans on patients and ensure high-quality images are obtained. - Assist in patient positioning and monitor patient safety throughout the procedure. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care. - Maintain and operate MRI equipment effectively, adhering to safety standards. - Document all procedures accurately in the electronic medical records system. **Required Qualifications:** - **Certification:** MR Registered - **Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification** - **Experience:** - Proficient in GE Equipment - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in cardiac scans is a plus. **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Brain Scans - Spine Imaging - Orthopedic Body Imaging - Abdominal Scans - Cardiac Imaging **Work Environment:** - Dress Code: Navy scrubs - Weekend Call Rotation: Typically 1 weekend per month and 2 week nights of call each week (11 p.m. - 6 a.m.) **Contract Details:** - Number of Positions: 1 - Guaranteed Hours: Contract for 91 weeks --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
