**Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)** **Location:** Cleveland, Ohio **Shift:** - Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) - Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - Rotating shifts may apply (typically 2 weeks on Days, 2 weeks on Nights if needed). **Contract Length:** Up to 18 weeks (please confirm desired length upon submission) **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. - Monitor and assess patient vital signs, ECGs, and telemetry readings. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding care plans and procedures. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and assessments. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** - Minimum 18 months of permanent nursing experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel assignments. - Must hold a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license (effective for starts on or after 1/1/23). - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. - Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices. - Must be available to work every other holiday and adhere to additional scheduling requirements as needed. **Additional Requirements:** - Must successfully complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation. - Background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process; applicants with open cases or license hits will not be considered. - Drug screening and nicotine-free certification will be required per facility standards. - Ability to complete fingerprinting and badging procedures at the facility prior to the start date.
