**Job Description: Med/Surg Telemetry RN** **Position Overview:** Join our team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of experience in medical/surgical telemetry nursing and hold a current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license. This role requires flexibility with 3x12-hour shifts that rotate between day and night schedules. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver patient-centered care in a telemetry unit, monitoring vital signs and ECG rhythms. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. - Conduct comprehensive assessments, document patient care, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols and standards. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services and outcomes. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignments. - Current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license. - Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. - Proven experience with ECG interpretation and telemetry monitoring. - Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. **Schedule:** - Rotating shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30). - Must be available to work holidays as needed. **Additional Information:** - Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment is required during orientation. - Candidates will receive a maximum of two attempts to successfully pass both assessments prior to starting.
