**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Night Shift** **Location:** [City, State] **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Description:** Join our dedicated team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for the night shift! We welcome first-time travelers and offer flexible options for 36 or 48 hours per week. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor and delivery. - Assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries, and circulate for C-sections. - Triage obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams. - Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and manage insulin drips. - Utilize External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) for patient monitoring. - Follow isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. **Requirements:** - Minimum 3 years of L&D nursing experience. - Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Level, BLS, NRP. - Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. - Knowledge of community hospital charting systems is required. **Patient Care Details:** - Typical patient ratios: 2 patients per nurse during day and night shifts. - Patient age groups include neonates and adults. - Daily census and specific patient diagnoses will vary. **Additional Information:** - Weekend requirements: 4-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. - Scrubs will be provided. - Orientation hours to be determined upon hire.
