Job Description
**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Nights** **Shift Details:** - Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - Option for 36 or 48 hours per week - First-time travelers are welcome **Job Responsibilities:** As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery. Your duties will include: - Monitoring and assessing laboring patients’ conditions and vital signs. - Assisting with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries. - Circulating during C-sections and recovering C-section patients. - Performing sterile vaginal exams and triaging obstetrical patients. - Utilizing External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and maintaining central lines. - Administering medications and managing anticoagulant and antihypertensive therapies. - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory and pharmacy services. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. - Required certifications: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Charge experience preferred. - Experience with community hospital charting systems is mandatory. - Exposure to a patient ratio of 2:1. **Weekend Requirements:** - 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks commitment needed. **Facility Information:** - The facility serves neonates and adults with a daily patient census within 100-200 births/month. - The unit contains 15 rooms and 15 beds, with comprehensive support services such as phlebotomy and social services. **Travel Requirements:** - Travelers are expected to float to similar units as per facility needs and will receive a brief orientation upon arrival. - A valid NM or Compact RN license is required at the time of submission. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
