**Job Title: Radiation Therapist** **Shift: 8-Hour, Day Shift, 8am Start Time** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our outpatient Cancer Center's Radiation Therapy department. Under the general supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist, Supervisor, or Director, the Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions provided by Radiation Oncologists. **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer ionizing radiation treatments to patients as prescribed. - Collaborate with nursing staff, dosimetry experts, clerical personnel, and physicians to ensure safe and effective patient care. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including utilizing EPIC charting software. - Provide patient education regarding procedures and treatment processes. - Prepare and maintain equipment and treatment areas, ensuring a safe working environment. - Float to different areas within the department as needed to meet staffing requirements. **Qualifications:** - Current California State License in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology. - Current CPR Certification. - Registered A.R.R.T Radiation Therapist certification. - Prior clinical experience with Varian Radiation Therapy equipment and software. - Experience in the treatment of Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) is preferred. **Additional Information:** - Must be willing to float as needed between departments to ensure operational efficiency and patient care. - Med/Surg and Critical Care RN positions may also require floating as necessary. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
