**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion Services** **Location: Alaska** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse for our Infusion Services team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive nursing care to infusion patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will hold a current Alaska nursing license and possess a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee and coordinate infusion patient referrals and appointments, ensuring continuity of care. - Maintain, review, and document patient information accurately in charts. - Communicate with referring providers and patients regarding test results and treatment plans. - Monitor and report on patients' conditions and reactions to treatments and medications. - Supervise clinic staff, providing guidance to optimize patient care flow. - Participate in educational programs to maintain nursing licensure and stay current with best practices in oncology/infusion nursing. - Assess the needs of infusion patients and administer specialty IV fluids according to prescribed orders. - Ensure proper maintenance of IV access devices and uphold infection control standards. - Evaluate and address patient health problems through thorough assessment and intervention. - Prepare infusion patients effectively and educate them and their families on post-discharge care. - Engage in patient care meetings to review and optimize care plans. - Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients. - Stay updated on advances in infusion nursing to enhance service quality. **Qualifications:** - Current full, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state. - BLS and ACLS certifications are required. - High school diploma or equivalent; further education in nursing preferred. - Minimum of 1-year clinical nursing experience, preferably in a specialty area such as oncology. - Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, pharmacology, and disease processes. **Skills & Abilities:** - Proficient in operating and maintaining specialized medical equipment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Leadership skills, particularly in a healthcare environment. - Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities. - Able to manage multiple patients and high patient volumes efficiently. - Commitment to patient-centered care and customer service. **Physical Demands:** - Regularly required to communicate effectively, standing or walking frequently. - Occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 lbs. - Ability to perform various physical activities such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. **Additional Information:** Candidates living at least 50+ miles away from the work location are encouraged to apply. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
