**Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** **Location: Sanford, NC** **Shift: Nights, Full-Time (36 hours/week)** **Contract Length: 91 Weeks** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a vital member of our Women's Services unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in our Labor and Delivery department. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to laboring mothers and their newborns. - Monitor patients for any changes in condition and communicate necessary information to the healthcare team. - Administer medications and manage patient pain relief during labor. - Collaborate with OB/GYN providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive birth experience. - Participate in patient and family education on labor, delivery, and postpartum care. - Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using Cerner. **Requirements:** - Current North Carolina RN License. - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Women's Services, specifically Labor & Delivery. - Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, AWHONN, NRP, and PALS. - Must be willing to float as needed within the facility. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Patient Population:** Focus on laboring mothers and their newborns in a 17-bed unit comprising Labor & Delivery and OB rooms. **Dress Code:** Scrubs – any color (No casual wear permitted). **Ideal Candidate:** We are looking for a professional who is adaptable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional healthcare.
