**Job Title: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Med Surg** **Shift:** Nights 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (Every other weekend required) **Location:** [Facility Location] **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires strong critical thinking, scientific judgment, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide delegated aspects of direct patient care to patients as directed by a Registered Nurse. - Perform physical examinations and data collection. - Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). - Administer medications and manage peripheral IV therapy as needed. - Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning. - Implement physician orders and accurately document patient care activities. - Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training. - Ensure safe delivery of care while providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel. **Requirements:** - Current Compact or AL LPN License. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting. - Experience with Cerner preferred. - Patient care ratio of 6 to 1. - Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. **Additional Information:** - Position may require floating to other units as needed. - Support for onboarding and continued clinical assistance available. - Opportunity for contract extension based on performance.
