**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro/Trauma ICU** **Shift:** Nights (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) **Duration:** 13 weeks **Position Overview:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neuro/Trauma ICU position. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of ICU experience, with a strong background in managing high-acuity patients in neuro and trauma settings. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and comfort. - Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Support and educate patients and their families regarding treatment options and post-discharge care. - Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH certification. - Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, with strong neuro/trauma background. - Proven competence in managing high-acuity patients. - Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. **Work Conditions:** - Patient-to-nurse ratio: 2:1, with occasional 3:1 assignments for stable patients. - Opportunity to float to other units as needed. - Orientation includes one week of hospital-based learning and hands-on training with a preceptor. **Unit Details:** - The unit has 34 beds and uses Cerner EMR. - Scrub color: Navy. **Additional Information:** - Local candidates will not be considered; applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. - All travelers must attach required licenses and certifications with their applications. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
